Cloud subscription price increase from 1st April 2023 - What you need to know
Reading time: 1 - 2 minutes
We have received notification from Microsoft that due to differences in exchange rates, all Cloud subscriptions will be increasing in price from the 1st April 2023.
The reason for this is because some of Microsoft's products are considerably cheaper in certain territories, such as the UK.
Office 365, Microsoft 365 and Dynamics 365 provisioned on a subscription model (CSP or NCE programmes) will increase by 9%. This new price will only apply once your current term ends, so it may not impact you until later in the year.
There is the potential to delay these price increases if you have the ability to renew before the 31st March, meaning you can lock into the existing pricing for a further 12 months. Also, if you are due to begin a new subscription, it would be worth looking to add a minimal number of users to a new agreement before 31st March. This will allow you to add additional users at the same price for the next 12 months.
If you currently have a dedicated Azure tenant then you will already be on variable pricing based on the exchange rate, so it will not result in the flat 9% increase.
