Not just a name change for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Marketing

The announcement came at Microsoft Inspire back in July 2023 and, as of 1st September 2023, is now in play. Whilst not the catchiest name, the shift sees Dynamics 365 Marketing join together with Dynamics 365 Customer Insights and aims to bring more data into your marketing. All helping you make more informed campaign decisions. Plus, you’ll now be getting two products for the price of one and a quarter, as Jason puts it.
So, yes, there is a slight increase in cost. However, for all you existing customers you don’t need to start paying the increased price right away and Zak gives you the information you need on how the new pricing will come into play.
We already know that Dynamics 365 CRM, as a collection, is so much more than a standard CRM system and this change emphasises that even more. We’re all seeing personalised marketing becoming more and more relevant and that’s where Microsoft are putting their focus with Dynamics 365 Customer Insights – Journeys. Real-time marketing offers some impressive personalisation options that go way beyond adding customer names into emails.
You’ll be able to run multiple highly personalised campaigns running across the whole of your customer journey, for multiple audiences all without the need to set those campaigns up completely individually. Any table within Dynamics 365 CRM can influence your marketing personalisation giving you an incredible number of options.
Combine this with your customer insights and Dynamics 365 Customer Insights – Journeys will help you push your marketing to the next level. So whilst we’re seeing Microsoft move away from outbound marketing there’s plenty of good to come from it.
Big changes are coming. But for the better! We just need to be prepared.
Remember, there’s no need to panic about losing outbound marketing and needing to move everything over to real-time marketing immediately.
