What’s new with Clever Dynamics?

If you’re not aware of Clever Dynamics and all of our Clever Apps (where have you been?!) it is the part of our company that develops Microsoft approved apps made to extend the functionality in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central from credit control to warehousing, helping you improve the way you go about your daily activities.

The Clever Team have been hard at work taking on feedback from our customers on how the Clever Apps can be improved to make their lives easier with bug fixes, enhancements and more. As a result, there have been many updates over these last few months. We would be here all day if I told you about all of them! So, I will go through a few highlights that may be of interest to you.

 

1. Clever Essentials Bundle

The Clever Essentials bundle includes 7 individual solutions (shown below) that makes entering, finding, storing information easier quicker and more accurate as well as helping you manage credit control activities to keep track of customer accounts.
The first major change that will make our end users and our partners lives much easier would be the fact that you now have the ability to download all the Clever Essentials apps in one go instead of downloading each app individually (which was time consuming!). This is way more efficient so you can get setup and start using them sooner.

All you have to do is go onto AppSource, search Clever Essentials and click download.

Simple right?

All these apps and fantastic functionality for only £125/€125/$175/month.

What’s even better is that purchasing the whole collection, compared to when each app is bought separately, saves you £165! Amazing value when purchased all together!

 

Introducing Clever Comments

There is a new addition to the Clever Essentials Bundle: Clever Comments. If you’re already ahead of the game and have Clever Essentials you get this for free!

The app allows users to add free-form comments on documents and screens internally and externally. You will be able to set how important the comments are, where you want them to show up and customise/format the way these comments look to read better and easier for the viewer.

Clever Document Links

As illustrated in the image above, if you want to store files in Dynamics 365 Business Central, then Clever Document Links is the app for you! You simply drag & drop to store any file, email, image, spreadsheet, drawing or document in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (either directly in Business Central or indirectly in SharePoint but still accessible from Business Central).

To make life even easier, we’ve now got two views of stored documents;

  • Compressed view

You can still easily drag and drop files into the Document Links box to store files in Business Central, but it looks slightly different. Now the drop zone is smaller so you can see more of the FactBox to the right of your screen. That gives you all the important information you need, s uch as customer balances, outstanding orders etc. that you can click into for further information or more of a breakdown.

  • Expanded view

The expanded version of the document links can be shown in more detail. All you have to do is select the ‘Show File list’ action.

Simplifying returns management with Document Links

Processing a return? Is it a damaged item and you want to attach a picture against the Return Order in Business Central? Or maybe you have quality checks at certain point in your process and need to upload pictures alongside (We also have an app for this Coming soon called Clever Quality, so stay tuned!).

Then Document Links can help with this too!

If the device you are using Business Central on has a camera, you can use the ‘Take a picture’ action and it will upload straight to your file list.

 

2. Clever Shipment Management

Clever Shipment Management allows you to ship your products using the best and most efficient way to dispatch and deliver so your customers get their deliveries on time and minimising your cost.

If you’re currently managing your own delivery transport you’ll understand the pains of failed deliveries coming back into the warehouse, then getting a new delivery date and route sorted out. Well now Clever Shipment Management can help make this whole process much easier with options in the event of failed deliveries:

  1. Rescheduling for a future date
  1. There’s no need to bring the items back into warehouse stock as the new route of delivery will be updated and appear in the Posted Shipment Entries in Business Central.
  2. Either enable the existing route or new route option and fill in what is needed to Reschedule the drop
  1. Creates an order return exclusively for Sales Transactions
  1. This will bring the failed delivery items back into stock and create a single return order for all entries in the Sales Order.
