Reading time: 1 - 2 minutes
We take a look at the second wave of planned 2024 updates for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Delving deeper into these changes and discussing their impact on business operations, functionality, and growth.
Microsoft’s second wave of Dynamics 365 Business Central updates will continue to save you time and money across all aspects of your business. New features include financial reporting demos, improvements to purchase order capabilities and a lot of reporting updates. With more at your fingertips, these changes really showcase the capabilities of Business Central, increasing your efficiency with better understanding and functionality.
Following on from the wave 1 release plan back in April, Microsoft have further developed the Shopify integration with multi-payment methods becoming a lot easier. So, if your regularly processing payments with part card and part gift card or loyalty card this function is now going to become a lot smoother.
Onto the biggest update, out of the box Power BI reports. Microsoft are rolling out over 60 off-the-shelf reports in key areas including finance, sales, purchasing and even manufacturing. Formatted correctly to each country’s requirements and available in all languages, these standardised reports are a great starting point for any business. We understand that business needs differ, and all these reports may not be used by everyone, but this is a great reporting foundation for Business Central users for you to save time and get the most out of your data.
An update isn’t an update without the mention of Copilot. Still in its infancy, Microsoft Copilot is now being integrated into Business Central and will be able to assist with general day to day tasks including sales orders and bank reconciliation. A great tool that we are sure is going to revolutionise the world, we can’t help but wonder, is Microsoft really being ambitious enough when it comes to AI?
