Our Academy is now in its 10th year with Academy Pro just beginning. For both Academy Programmes we’re looking to recruit a group full of enthusiasm to support our customers using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Dynamics 365 Sales, Marketing & Customer Service (aka Dynamics CRM) and Microsoft Power Platform.
For our standard Academy Programme, we’re looking for people with a degree in Business Management, Information Technology, or something similar, or relevant business experience.
You might be fresh out of university or have just finished your A-Levels. Alternatively, you might be working in finance, manufacturing or distribution with some experience of Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Power Platform as an end user and want to develop further. Maybe you’re working in a related IT sector and want to get into the world of Microsoft Dynamics. Or perhaps you’ve got a relevant degree and a few years of business experience under your belt.
For Academy Pro, we’re looking for experienced ERP consultants looking to make the switch to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Alternatively, you may be an experienced finance, manufacturing or warehousing professional looking to make the move from ERP end-user to ERP consultant.
Whatever applicable experience and/or qualifications you bring, with the right attitude and focus you’ll find our Academy Programme is the perfect stepping stone to a career with Tecman. So what are you waiting for? Get your application in!
No matter what your background, or what role you’re going into, everyone starts off with the same industry and product training. Your first few months of employment will be classroom-style training, and yes, you’ll be receiving a full salary while you’re learning!
There’s a fair bit to take in, but don’t worry we’ll keep it interesting and provide plenty of support, you’ll even head out on site visits to customers so you can see first-hand what they get up to. We also include assignments to enhance your soft skills, provide access to Microsoft self-study learning material, and give you on-the-job experience so you can put that knowledge into practice. From here you’ll be expected to pass the relevant Microsoft certifications before moving on to the next stage of your learning.
For the standard Academy Programme, your initial training will be carried out as a group for an intensive 13 weeks of getting to know who our customers are and what exactly we do here at Tecman. For Academy Pro, you’ll go through a fast-tracked version of the same training.
From there you’ll move into your role, with the support of an experienced mentor. Here, you’ll really start to see the difference we make to our customers, while still receiving ongoing support and on-the-job training from your team and mentor.

Meet some of our past Academy recruits and see how their careers have progressed working with Tecman.
Ellie joined our Academy Scheme in 2022 as a Dynamics Business Analyst with no technical experience and after completing her training decided to become a Dynamics 365 CRM consultant. She now manages customer projects, builds Power Apps, leads customer workshops and has presented at two of our Customer Days.
One of the first takers of the programme way back in 2013, Alex has been there, done that and got the career development to show for it. He’s now the Dynamics Support Team Leader! Alex is responsible for helping to manage the biggest team in the company, who take an average of 1,000 calls per month from our 300+ customers.
With a few years of related IT support/business experience and a degree under his belt, Connor was looking for a new career, not just another new job. He joined the Academy Programme in 2021 before starting his role as a Dynamics Implementation Consultant where he made an impact on various customer projects, and received great customer feedback. Connor is now taking the next step in his career, starting his role as a Presales Consultant.
After a few years working, Lourens went back to university as a mature student to study Computer Networking and joined the Academy Programme in 2014. His tech career has really taken off and he’s now a Dynamics Lead Developer, managing his own team to deliver new functionality for both new and existing customers. Lourens is proof it’s never too late to change the direction of your career!
Starting in our Academy Programme, Harriet now plays a vital role in our Customer Services team as a Customer Engagement Manager. Her training from the Academy means she knows the Dynamics 365 products inside and out, combining that with excellent relationships built with our customers means she can provide great customer experience. Recently, Harriet has taken on more responsibility looking after our key Tecman service, Cloud Control, which oversees the deployment of new versions of Dynamics 365 Business Central for customers operating in the cloud.
Phil joined the Tecman Academy Programme in 2024 as he was keen to work with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central having previously worked with other ERP systems such as Xero, Sage and Pegasus as an end-user through to applications team leader and consultant. After completing his training and graduating from the Academy, he has joined the Consultancy Team where his previous experience is helping him to thrive in his new role.

But even though we’re based in Wolverhampton we also have people working remotely across the UK, Poland, Italy, Malta and Romania.

Need a coffee first thing in the morning? Our top-of-the-range coffee machine will bring the freshly ground goodness you need to start the day. Fancy tea instead? We have a wide range of teas available. And, if you’re fancying something cool and refreshing, help yourself to juices, cans of pop, squash or simple chilled filtered water.
Once your training is complete, we offer flexible and hybrid working options. We know you have lives outside of work, so if you think your work-life balance could be a little better with an earlier or later start/finish just speak to your manager. Plus, we’ll get you set up with your own laptop, monitor, keyboard and mouse, so your home office will be kitted out with everything you need.
Need a break? No problem! We’ve got plenty of break out spaces so you can get away from your desk. Get a bit of friendly competition going with our pool table, darts board and football table, unwind with a coffee and a chat on a sofa, get stuck into an Xbox game or kick back with our massage chair.
We keep track of your development with regular appraisals and make sure you get the training and support you need to be at the top of your game. Additionally, we’ll always prioritise internal progression over hiring externally so you get the best chance to progress in your career right here at Tecman.
